Sang in the park.

I met a French guy who currently lives in Tokyo. We went to Inokashira-park in Kichijo-ji in the west of Tokyo to sing Damien Rice’s together. I don’t call it a street live since we only sang to ourselves. It was a fun to find people who have the same taste about something from other places. We spent a couple of hours singing to go grab beer at the end. He also has had language interests and ever taught Japanese to French and French to Japanese and had other experiences like a tour guide. A language we spoke was Japanese. He is very fluent in Japanese and seems to be able to speak English and Italian besides French. I had a good weekend.

This is the first time for me.

I am going to meet someone from France who I met in the internet. This is the first time to see someone from the net. I have heard some of my frineds who looked for a date find someone. But that’s not my case. He is a guy who put a comment on my youtube’s and both of us happened to be big fans of the same musician, Damien Rice. And what was more coincindent is that he currently lives in Tokyo with a working holiday visa. He is from France. We will meet this weekend to grab beers and to sing together. He also is making covers of Damien Rice’s on Youtube. What a small world.

I went to a concert of the swell season.

As I said before, I went to a concert of the swell season yesterday. The performance was brilliant in a nice hall. What’s good is not only that they are a spin-off band from a movie which reminds you of scenes but their performance. Glen Hansard apparently has been very famous for his career as a singer in a band, the Frames. He has awsome voice and guitar skill. The woman who play a roll as a girl in a movie is Marketa, Czech singer. She also has a great voice which fits Glen’s vocal perfectlly. Words don’t explain well about their performance but I am sorry, I didn’t videotape any minutes yesterday. Instead, I put a clip from Youtube again. Enjoy it.
